Welcome to ProgSeeker – a new music discovery site dedicated to all forms of Progressive Rock and related music. If you’ve been around the prog scene for a while, you may remember the last online Prog community that I launched back in 1998 called Prog-Net. It was a global community of reader-submitted album reviews and other features.  It had a good run, but I shut it down in 2002 for a variety of reasons.

Recently, I’ve been thinking of how much music discovery has changed.  Spotify, Youtube, SoundCloud, and other resources give us access to full tracks instead of the 30 second clips or written descriptions that we used in the past. With ProgSeeker, I hope to re-visit music discovery in a way that takes advantage of the Internet as it is today.  Without leaving this site, you’ll be able to explore prog music via embedded audio, video, and playlists.  Please feel free to contrite your recommendations or reviews! I will also re-post some of the thousands of reviews from the Prog-Net archive.  Keep your eye on this site for regular new material.
